The Center For
Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery
Center for Minimally Invasive Brain Pituitary and Skull Base Neurosurgery
“Our goal is to provide the highest level of comprehensive surgical care for patients with disorders of the pituitary, brain, skull base, spine and peripheral nerves.”
- Dr. Wesley A. King
Serving the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and greater Southern California areas, the Center has established itself as a leader in minimally invasive and endoscopic surgical techniques. Directed by Dr. Wesley King, a pioneer in endoscopy of the brain, pituitary, cranial nerves and skull base, a multidisciplinary team has been formed to optimally treat patients . Areas of focus include pituitary tumors (pituitary adenoma), neuroendocrine tumors (eg. Craniopharyngioma, Rathke’s Cyst, hypothalamic glioma), brain tumors (glioma, glioblastoma), trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, Chiari Malformation and tumors of the spine, to name a few.
The Center for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery uses a multidisciplinary approach as well as state of the art minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques. We are able to optimize patient care while decreasing the length of hospitalization and the time for recuperation following surgery. Smaller incisions and “keyhole approaches” result in fewer operative complications. Many of these less invasive techniques were pioneered by our Board Certified physicians, all of whom are involved in ongoing clinical research and teaching. Established in 1999, the Center will continue its leadership role in research and education in the area of state of the art surgical technology. All physician members of the Center are recognized nationally and internationally in their respective specialties.
